Moo Day!

A tradition created by some MSLFAP students, Moo Day is celebrated at the Blue House. On November 14, everyone must wear black and white or dress up like a cow and "moo" all day. This is a picture of a few of the students on Moo Day.

Kale Sale

This Friday at the Friday Market (10/25/13) we will have a kale sale!!! We will sell a massive amount of great, healthy, green kale! For all you kale lovers out there this is the one day you can get all the kale you want (it's a kale buffet this Friday). Kale is a healthy and tasty green that we harvest on our farm. You can also turn kale into wonderful food such as kale chips. The reason we have so much kale is it survives frost unlike many of our other crops. Kale is one of the healthiest vegetables in the world and tastes sweeter after a frost. So come to the Kale Sale this Friday at the Friday Market!

Land Art

Recently in Art class, we have been learning about Land Art, a kind of art that uses the natural world as a canvas, and Andy Goldsworthy, a well-known land artist. Land art is not permanent, as it is often washed away, blown away, or decomposed within a short period of time, so it's documented with pictures. Below are a few examples created around the Blue House.
